How Do You Draw Your Water?

Greetings. We are very interested in knowing your view on the subject of water containers. There are so many choices and we want to know how we can best serve you. What kind of container do you carry your water in? The writer of this entry is partial to a stainless steel canteen that looks like a bottle. There's a half dozen kinds of plastic. Some have water already in them, some you fill yourself. What about the idea of refilling your container at an automatic filtered water dispensing station? .

I bought a stainless steel water bottle at your store, and, whenever I leave home, I fill it with filtered water and take it with me. This small developing habit keeps me from buying a plastic bottle of water when I get thirsty. And the water in the stainless steel container keeps a fresh taste hours later.

We added a new water filter at the main water supply in our home, and will be adding an additional one to the water tap on the fridge. Once that happens, we won't need to buy bottled water anymore.

I do need a stainless bottle, and didn't realize until now that you carry them, since I'm always on a different mission when I'm in the store.

I'll have to check them out.

Hi Karen,

This is Shirley at Martindales. Thank you for your post. Whatever details you can share on your water filtration system; manufacturer, cost, etc., would be appreciated!
The stainless steel water bottle by EnviroProducts is not only very functional, but the colors on the 16 oz. bottles are attractive as well. And they have a clasp on them for attaching to bags, etc.

We have another order placed and expect another supply very soon. If, when you come in, they are not there, leave your name and phone number with us and we'll call you when they do come in. Then you can pick out your own color(s).

I use a stainless SIGG bottle made in Switzerland, which I chose over Kleen Kanteen because KK is made in China.

Our water source is a PUR filter on our kitchen faucet, but I have to admit I wish I'd researched better, as PUR is owned by Proctor and Gamble.

It's good to know that I can get more stainless bottles when I need them!

Martindale's Natural Market

Known As the Oldest Natural Foods Store in the USA. Thomas Martindale opened a food store in Olde City, Philadelphia in 1869. The store included a lunch room, some office space and a set up to manufacture a coffee substitute. The foods served in the lunchroom were salads, soups, the Martindales coffee substitute, Mate tea, healty baked goods without the use of sugar and ice cream from Bassett's. The ice cream was sweetened with honey and the baked goods with honey and maple syrup. Thomas C. Martindale would talk with people about becoming vegetarians, or at the very least, reducing their intake of meat and sugar. Thomas Martindale's idea of health foods was simple. Whole grains, whole wheat, no sugar, fiber foods and eliminate junk food. Later a juice bar was added where they made vegetable juices, yogurt and fruit juices. In 1971, Martindale’s opened a store in the Olde Sproul Shopping Village in Springfield, Pa. Today the Martindales message of Caring from the Heart reaches into the lives of people locally as well as those at greater distances. Our focus is on caring for our staff, our customers, our community and our resources.
